Matt Thompson 

With over 38yrs experience in domestic and commercial construction, Matt is a leader in the Design and Construct process.

Matt has worked across a wide range of projects ranging in value from $25M-$120M building and designing high rise apartments, sporting complexes, service stations, aged care facilities and high-end homes, when it comes to design, he is passionate about achieving the best design for a project and then leading the construction team to deliver the project on time and within budget.

Originally form Melbourne, Matt also worked in the UK for a number of years gaining experience in high rise construction before returning home. He has extensive experience in managing design teams, overseeing the structural design, services coordination and facade design, often procuring windows, joinery and façade elements offshore.

As a leader, he oversees management of the construction process while constantly encouraging his team to develop a positive design culture, always looking to improve.

In 2020 Matt and his wife Sarah relocated to the Sunshine Coast in QLD where Matt has delivered a five level 150 bed Aged Care Facility, low rise office complex and 11 high-end town homes.

His Why - To develop a Construction company focused on good design, sound construction methods, resulting in projects being delivered on time and within budget while looking to pass on his experience and passion for design to his team -

Skeco Building Designers - Built Environmental Specialists

Lead by Steve Claridge Skeco Building designers work across a wide range of projects from high rise commercial, medical centers, schools, shop fit outs and Federal Government projects.

At MDB we work closely with Steve and his team to review construction methodology and provide value management advice to streamline the overall design on Design and Construct projects.

We bring together consultant teams to manage and coordinate the design process from initial sketch design through to building certification, Steve from Skeco is the lead design consultant working alongside MDB to deliver and complete the design. 

MiSafe Solutions

Lead by Micah Wicham, MiSafe are an Intelligent QHSE & risk compliance company working with MDB to ensure safety and OH&S regulations are met, we work closely with Micah at Misafe to ensure safety comes first.

At MDB safety in both design and on site is paramount, care is taken to ensure safety is considered in all aspects of construction.
